Not Keeping Calm

We have not been keeping calm lately. It’s been a whirlwind two weeks of patching, painting and preparing our new space which is conveniently located at no. 44 right next door to Keep Calm and Carry on Stitching at no. 42 Ridgway.

Previously a second hand bookstore, the building was as any great bookstore is. A quiet place to hideaway among bookshelves piled high with stories and characters. But it’s time to turn over a new leaf and welcome new characters through the door – you! We hope you will be a part of writing the new chapter in the story of this historic building and also in the story of Keep Calm and Carry on Stitching. We want you to come and be inspired by like minded people in our weekly groups or to learn something new with our structured classes. Pam will be teaching her famous machine quilting on Sundays. Katie will be running an Inky stitches group showing you how to turn colouring book illustrations into stitcheries, Amy Morgan of Amy Kalissa will be teaching beginner patchwork and beginner crochet. Details of these classes and more will follow on the blog but if you’d like to get your name down first, just fill in the details on the contact page.

Here are the before photos.
